CONTRIBUTIONS FOR THE NATIONAL BIODIVERSITY STRATEGY REVIEW PRESENTED
The Ministry of the Environment, through the National Institute of Biodiversity and Conservation Areas (INBAC), is conducting a Workshop on the Review of the National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP 2019-2025) starting this morning, July 24, at the National Archives of Angola in Luanda.
The two-day activity (July 24 and 25) aims to include tasks such as the development of programs, strategies, and reports to conserve national biodiversity. The opening speech was delivered by the Secretary of State for the Environment, Iury dos Santos, representing the Minister of the Environment, Ana Paula de Carvalho Pereira. He highlighted the importance of biodiversity, which directly or indirectly affects the involved institutions, noting that the country has made significant efforts to conserve and protect biodiversity.
"Today, we gather to chart the course we will take over the next five years, which involves defining concrete actions to ensure that our objectives are met. The Action Plan (NBSAP 2019-2025) is an opportunity for us to align efforts and collaborate effectively, ensuring that this project meets its goals," emphasized the Secretary.
